The team

Clare Gonzalez, Nurse Practitioner
Clare Gonzalez RGN, DipHEd., BMedSci (Hons), Dip., PGDip, qualified at Pinderfields General Hospital, Wakefield, in 1994. Clare worked as a Staff Nurse within the Orthopaedic Unit at Northern General Hospital, Sheffield for over 2 years, before transferring to the Accident & Emergency Department where she worked for 17 years, 12 years of which were as a Sister. Clare gained qualifications in orthopaedic & trauma nursing, acute & critical care and professional nursing practice. In 2001, Clare became an Autonomous Practitioner in Emergency Care. More recently, Clare has obtained a PGDip in Advanced Professional Development enabling Clare to work as an Advanced Practitioner & Independent Prescriber. Clare’s special interests are Minor Injury & Sports Injury Management and Minor Illness Management

Sallianne Bishop, Practice Nurse
Sallianne Bishop RGN, Adv.Dip. Adult Nursing, Sheffield University and BA(hons) Healthcare Practice, Sheffield Hallam University. Sallianne joined the practice nursing team February 2014. Qualifying as a staff nurse in 2001, she spent the first three and a half years of her career on Neurosurgical ITU/HDU at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital followed by General ITU/HDU and Cardiac ITU at the Northern General Hospital. In 2004 she moved to the chemotherapy suite and then onto Ward 3 at Weston Park Hospital where she spent the next nine years as an oncology nurse, before making the move into practice nursing.

Helen Jackson, Healthcare Assistant
Helen has worked at Rustlings Road Surgery since February 2010, initially as part of the reception team and then following training as our Healthcare Assistant. Helen works Tuesday-Thursday and has several clinics throughout the week offering blood tests, blood pressure checks including ambulatory blood pressure checks, ear syringing, wound management, NHS Health Checks and some vaccines such as Influenza, Pneumonia and Shingles.

Annie Stones, Practice Manager
Annie joined the practice in February 2014 replacing Chris Nicol as Practice Manager. Annie worked at Rustlings Road Surgery ten years ago as a receptionist prior to training as a Children’s Nurse at The University of Sheffield. Following completion of her training Annie felt her strengths lay in the administrative side of the NHS and worked for 4 years at Community Physiotherapy, as an administrator, followed by a further 2 years at Nethergreen Surgery as Assistant Manager and Practice Manager.
