Dr Mawer joined the Rustlings Road Surgery Team in April 2016.

Dr Lydia Mawer

Dr Lydia Mawer Law LLB (Hons) MB ChB DFSRH MRCGP qualified at Sheffield University in 2009 and worked in Sheffield and Barnsley before joining the Barnsley GP Training Scheme.

As part of her training, she has worked in hospital specialties including Urology, Gastroenterology, Endocrine Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, A&E, Care of the Elderly (General Medicine), Paediatrics, and Medical Endocrinology.

She has also worked at two Barnsley GP Practices. During her GP training she also completed a diploma in sexual and reproductive healthcare with the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare.

She is a member of the local Royal College of General Practitioners faculty board and currently works with the college to promote General Practice and to develop educational courses for GPs.
