Practice area
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT OUR PRACTICE BOUNDARY HAS BEEN RE-DRAWN IN AN ATTEMPT TO MANAGE OUR RISING NUMBERS AND IS NOW CONSIDERABLY SMALLER – YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REGISTER AS A NEW PATIENT UNLESS YOU LIVE WITHIN OUR NEW BOUNDARY BUT EXISTING PATIENTS WHO ARE WITHIN OUR OLD BOUNDARY OR MOVE HOUSE AND STAY WITHIN OUR OLD BOUNDARY MAY REMAIN REGISTERED – THIS POLICY HAS BEEN IMPOSED CENTRALLY BY NHS ENGLAND
Our practice area covers Fulwood, High Storrs, Nether Edge, Hunter’s Bar, Broomhall, Broomhill, The University, Crosspool, Lodge Moor and a small part of Crookes.
The Government may abolish practice areas but as yet nothing has been agreed. At present we will only take new patients within our practice area and we have a strict policy to ask patients to register at another practice when they move out of our area.
We cannot visit patients outside our area and we will not be changing this policy even if the government does allow patients to register wherever they like.
